Placements Opportunities

Placements Opportunities

Placement opportunities are a vital part of turning learning into experience. We work with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and Universities to create structured placements that help students and learners build confidence, develop workplace skills, and strengthen future employability.

Placement options

Short placements (e.g. spoke placements / taster placements)

Longer placements (e.g. 4 week extended placements)

Mentored placement support (where applicable)

How placements work
  • Step 1 Learners match to suitable placement partners via university or Practice supervisor
  • Step 2 Placement planning and expectations are shared
  • Step 3 Learners complete the placement with structured support
  • Step 4 Feedback and progression planning take place

Benefits of placements

- Build workplace confidence and professional communication

- Develop practical skills and palliative care understanding

- Improve CVs, references, and future career options

- Learn from real mentors and teams
